I just learned recently that some people coping with chemotherapy do just as well with cold meals as they do with hot meals. My childhood best friend’s father who is also undergoing chemotherapy has been drinking a lot of smoothies so I thought it was time to share one of my go to smoothie recipes. Due to the base being soy milk, it’s not that sweet of a smoothie but the bananas, strawberries and blueberries flavor make this ideal for breakfast lunch or dinner.
Ingredients for the Smoothie
Soy Milk or Almond Milk 8 oz
Frozen Banana 1 whole banana, frozen and chopped
Frozen Strawberries 6, frozen and chopped (makes it easier to blend)
Frozen Blueberries 1 handfulServing Size
Makes one 16oz smoothiePreparation
Pour in the soy milk first so you can use the measurement guides on your blender or immersion blender.Add the chopped frozen fruit.
Blend and enjoy!
Don’t forget a fun straw
